There is now a balance of 57.70 in our class fund as at December 2009. I will discuss with the committee members what to do with the class fund. If nothing is being planned, I will return the balance to all accordingly when school term starts.

Hellos guys, I have discussed with Glen about class outing and he is offering his house for us to stay over for one night! So in a way, it's more of a class IN-ing. Ok, that was a cheap joke.

Nonetheless, everything is still tentative and we have yet to confirm anything yet. Glen lives very close to school (just a short walk away) for those who want to know. If we do decide to have it at Glen's house, there will be games, he has XBOX and Wii, and we can bring our own games as well! We have yet to find out whether he can provide dinner, or else we will order from... somewhere. :D So I'll be asking when people are free next week. We are thinking of setting it on this upcoming Friday-Saturday, so see if your free!

Class Outing

Okay guys. For me to be able to place a booking for our class outing, I have to confirm the date, time, and no. of people who can make it. Including Ms. Bian. So here's a summary:

We will be going to Crossfire Paintball at the Singapore Discovery Center. Unless we can get the school to shuttle a bus for us (not likely) we will have to make our own way there.

It is closed on Mondays and Public holidays. I think that most of you guys would want to have it before the end of Term 3, but not too close to our EOYs. I would like it to be on a Saturday as it can take awhile going there and back, but of course, depending on your feedback, it may change.
Also, the amount of time we are given are based on how many people we have. Details:

1. Daily timeslots are as follow (including briefing and game play):
• Session 1 : (9.00am – 10.30am)
• Session 2 : (11.00am – 1.00pm)
• Session 3 : (2.00pm – 4.00pm)
• Session 4 : (4.00pm – 5.30pm)

2. Time Slot Allotments
• 8 – 15pax (Choose any 1.5Hrs)
• 16 – 20pax (Choose any 2Hrs)
If pax numbers exceed 20, please refer to Paintball Coordinator.

Technically speaking, if we only have 8 to 15 people, the two time slots we have available for us is Session 1 and 4. If we garner 16 to 20 people, we have to choose between Session 2 or 3. Or course, if we have more than that, I'll have to make inquiries.

One session would have 3 rounds:

Round 1: Top Gun
Round 2: Capture the Flags
Round 3: Elimination

Note: Game play can vary due to circumstances eg: weather, players’ condition and preference.

Now, about the costs:
$25.00 per player for session 1 and 4
$40.00 per player for session 2 and 3. 250 pellets is required to be purchased.

Technically, if we have 8 to 15 people, we would have to pay $25 per person.
If we have 16 to 20 people, we would have to pay $40 per person.
Keep in time that the number of people effects our time slot as well.
Please take note:

A maximum of ten players can play at any one time. If there are more than ten players in the group, the group will be spilt into three or more teams and the teams will rotate.

Every person will get:

1 x paintball rifle
1 x safety mask
1 x protective vest
50 pellets of paintball
Shower facilities are available at no extra costs
Purchase of additional pellets is available at 10 pellets for $0.70.

Lastly and most importantly:

By Law, all players must be 18 years or older. Players aged 14 to 17 must have our waiver form signed by a parent. Proof of age must be provided prior to the paintball session. Crossfire Paintball facilitators have the right to stop the participation of any player who does not have a proper completed waview form.

So those of yalls that are under 18, will have to get parental consent.
I will be asking for your preference 2moro. Please co-operate so that I can book early and we can get the time slot we want. Thanks :D

Hi class, here are some updates.

Math:
Group project questions to be presented to Mr Lau tomorrow, officially handed up on Friday.

LA:
Group project presentation continuation on Friday. (yes tomorrow is a non-LA day haha)

that should be all... i guess. Not a lot really (just continually tell yourself that to feel good). =/

Reminders:
1) Tomorrow it'd be best to come to school with full uniform (not enough information disseminated as to whether we have to come to school in uniform or not)
2) bring $197.50 (for those who are going OBM)

Hi guys, sorry for the late update. Was out until now.

LA: Write/type 1 page of commentary/analysis on a poem in the dossier
Math test: week 8
So far we only have math B topics: Stats, Logarithms, Arithmetic Progression
A reminder that next week is the deadline for LA GROUP RESEARCH PROJECT and for the 3 groups who were 'lucky' enough SS GROUP PROJECT as well.

And on a separate note, i was thinking that for class teeshirt some bright spark could compose a nice poem with the following words as starters.

The entire list of rules will be placed on the class notice board for your perusal. In the meantime, Tze Hern has laid down some groundrules.

The game will only be played for a short period of 3 days. Therefore everyone is expected to play and must give a small letter/gift/item to your mortal each day. This rule will be enforced by your respective CG rep, that's Glen! We'd expect 23 items from our class to be distributed on Monday.

The whole purpose of this game is to bring our cohort closer together through a fun and meaningful way during Friendship week. We hope that everyone will get to know their mortals and angels better through this as well.

Items that are given must be positive, motivational and include content that lifts a person up and not 'put them down'.

It is a must to not disclose to others who your mortal is. But seeing how many have already done so, you're only ruining the game for yourself.

You will find out who your angels are on thursday.

IF YOU STILL DO NOT KNOW WHO YOUR MORTAL IS, APPROACH GLEN IN PERSON LATEST TOMORROW.
